According to police sources, old Peladi Rani Bala, wife of late Tarak Bala of Lohaidanga village of the upazila has committed suicide. On Wednesday evening, 05 January 2022, he committed suicide by tying a rope around his neck with a leaning bamboo in the bamboo bush near his house.
Dumuria Police Station Assistant Inspector (SI) Jahangir Hossain said the body of an old woman was found hanging from a bamboo bush in Lohaidanga village of the upazila. Preliminary speculation is that he may have committed suicide due to old age and disease. The body has been sent to the morgue of Khumek Hospital for autopsy after the inquest report.
In this incident, an unnatural death case has been registered at Dumuria police station.
