Azizur Rahman, Keshabpur (Jessore) Correspondent : The tri-annual election of Pick-up Driver Ekta Samiti-2022 has been held in a festive atmosphere in Keshabpur. Voting was held in a peaceful atmosphere on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in Jessore District Transport Corporation Sramik Union-228.
Out of a total of 64 voters, 6 exercised their voting right. Candidates are contesting for 11 posts. Earlier, three candidates were elected unopposed in three posts.
In the election Ahidurzzaman (Ostrich) got 36 votes for President, Faruk Hossain Babul (Water Bottle) got 48 votes for Vice President-1 and Alamgir Hossain (Dab) got 44 votes for Vice-President-2, Siddiqur Rahman Mizan (Deer). With 44 votes, General Secretary and Shamim Reza (Motorcycle) got 43 votes and Co-General Secretary, Abul Bashar (Rooster) got 45 votes and was elected Organizing Secretary
Earlier, Farooq Hossain was elected unopposed as joint-editor, Zahid Hasan as publicity secretary and Shahin Alam as treasurer.
The election was attended by the leaders of Jessore District Transport Workers Union and members of the Election Steering Committee.

Asashuni (Satkhira) Correspondent : Reception has been given to two newly elected chairmen and two members of Budhahata and Kulya Union of Asashuni Upazila.
The reception was held at Budhahata Darul Uloom Qawmi Madrasa and Mosque on Friday, January 14, 2022, before the Holy Jumma prayers.

Today, Sunday, January 10, 2022, is the historic Homecoming Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The Khulna Metropolitan Volunteer League has announced various programs on the occasion of Father of the Nation Homecoming Day.
