Tala (Satkhira) Correspondent : A two-day children’s fair has been organized by the District Information Office in Tala and in collaboration with the upazila administration under the 1st Amendment program of the Department of Mass Communication of the Ministry of Information on Children and Women Development Awareness Communication Program (Phase 5).
Upazila Parishad Chairman Ghosh Sanat Kumar was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of Shishu Mela at Shaheed Ali Ahmed Government Girls High School grounds on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Prashant Kumar Biswas.
Information Office announcer Md. Moniruzzaman was present as special guest in the performance, Upazila Mahila Vice Chairman Murshida Parveen Papri, District Information Officer Md. Mozammel Haque, Tala Press Club President Journalist SM Nazrul Islam, Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Nazmun Nahar, District Assistant Information Officer Md. Ramzan Ali, Headmaster of Shaheed Ali Ahmed Government Girls High School Alok Kumar Tarafdar, Headmaster of Shaheed Kamel Model High School Shaktipad Kar, Senior Vice President of Tala Press Club SM Jahangir Hasan and other journalists. The two-day fair will feature discussion meetings, various competitions, cultural events and 12 stall exhibitions.
Earlier, on the occasion of the fair, a rally with students of different educational institutions came to the fair ground at 10 o’clock in the morning. The chief guest said that all members of the society should take conscious steps to prevent child marriage and work together to curb all crimes including eve-teasing, rape, trafficking of women and children.
