Tala (Satkhira) Correspondent : Police have arrested Saidul Islam (24), a cannabis emperor with 150 grams of cannabis from Setu Bazar of Shirashuni village in Talaya upazila.
On Monday 23rd May 2022 at around 8 pm on the basis of secret information, the vigilant camp in-charge of Jatpur camp SI Ohidur Rahman with allied forces seized one and a half hundred grams of cannabis while selling it at Saidul’s cloth shop in Setu Bazar of Shirashuni village. The arrested Saidul is the son of late Gani Akunji of the area. It is learned that he had been running a drug business under the guise of clothing business for a long time. In this regard, 19 (a) of 37 (1) of the Narcotics Control Act has been referred to Tala police station.
Tala Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abu Jihad Fakhrul Alam Khan said Saidul had been sent to jail in a drug case.
