Sujit Mallick, Dumuria (Khulna) Correspondent : Iftar and prayer mahfil has been organized by Dumuria Upazila Awami League and other organizations on the occasion of holy month of Ramadan. Among them, Upazila Awami League at Shaheed Smriti Mahila College, Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations at Dumuria College and Bangladesh Sahakari Primary Teachers Association at Shaheed Jobaid Ali Auditorium of the upazila organized the program separately. Former Minister and Upazila Awami League President Narayan Chandra Chand MP presided over the prayer and iftar mahfil organized by Upazila Awami League. District Awami League President and District Council Chairman Alhaj Sheikh Harunur Rashid was the chief guest at the meeting. The main speaker was the general secretary of the district Awami League Adv. Cotton possessor. Also present at the time were district Awami League leader BMA Salam, Alhaj Mostafa Kamal Khokon, Adv. Rabindranath Mandal, Md. Kamruzzaman, Sardar Abu Saleh, Ajay Sarkar, Shiuli Sarwar, Khairul Alam, Engineer Prem Kumar, Md. Azgar Biswas Tara, Mokleshur Rahman, Jamil Khan, Upazila Awami League Leader Shahnewaz Hossain Joarddar, Sheikh Najibur Rahman, Abu Bakkar Khan, Abu Saeed Sardar, GM Faruk Hossain, Sultan Ahmed, Mollah Sohail Rana, Mollah Zahidul Islam, Asfar Hossain Joarddar, Lecturer Govind Ghosh, Adv. Ashraful Alam Raju and others. Besides, prayer and iftar mahfil was held at Shaheed Jobaid Ali Auditorium of the upazila on the initiative of Bangladesh Assistant Teachers Association. Former Fisheries and Livestock Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda MP was the chief guest at the function presided over by Rakibuzzaman Sardar, president of the association. Upazila and district branch leaders and teachers were present on the occasion.
