Azizur Rahman, Keshabpur (Jessore) : In order to enhance the beauty of Keshabpur, an initiative has been taken to plant 2,000 Krishnacura trees on both sides of the road. The Krishnacura tree was planted on the Keshabpur section of the Jessore-Chuknagar road on Sunday, May 22 at the initiative of the municipality.
Apart from planting Krishnacura on the side of the road, various flower trees including Madhabilata, Radhachura and Baganbilas will be planted inside the city. Initiatives have been taken to plant 2,000 Krishnacura trees. Hundreds of Krishnacura trees were planted by the workers on Sunday. Besides, 150 Madhabilata flower trees, 500 Baganbilas, 150 Radhachura, 500 roses, 200 Gaurichauri and 150 cherries will be planted inside the city. Recently (last March 31) 200 pitch boiling rose trees have been provided free of cost in salons and tea shops starting from small business establishments of the city to enhance the beauty. Safe habitat will be created. The beauty of the flowers and the chirping of the birds will be heard all around. Advocate Abu Bakkar Siddiqui, convener of the Upazila Civil Society, said that blossoming of Krishnacura tree on the side of the road would enhance the beauty of nature as well as protect the nature. In order to make this city eco-friendly, livable and beautiful, about 4,000 different types of flower trees including 2,000 Krishnacura are being planted with the funding of the revenue fund of the municipality. Besides, various domestic and foreign tourists come to Sagardari, the home of the great poet Michael Madhusudan Dutt. Decorating the city beautifully will make it a sight to behold.
