Today, 18 February 2022 at 11 am on Thursday, Khulna University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md. Masudur Rahman Bhoona paid a courtesy call on Mahmud Hossain at his office.
Welcoming the KMP Commissioner, the Vice-Chancellor said that KMP has always been instrumental in maintaining a conducive and peaceful learning environment at Khulna University. He thanked the KMP Commissioner for his prompt response to any need at any time.
The Vice-Chancellor said that many changes have taken place in the socio-economic field as a result of continuous development of the country under the strong leadership of the Prime Minister in the last one decade. As a result, human needs have also changed. At the same time global change has taken place. Cyber usage has increased. As a result, new challenges have emerged in the emerging situation. Despite the increased responsibility and pressure to meet this challenge, the police are fulfilling it efficiently. He further said that no matter what profession we are in, we all have one goal and purpose, and that is development, peace and stability of the country. During the talk, the Vice Chancellor highlighted various aspects of the success of Khulna University.
The KMP Commissioner appreciated the dynamic leadership of the Vice-Chancellor in protecting the fair and beautiful learning environment of Khulna University and increasing the research activities and said that Khulna University is making special contribution in nation building. He wished the university continued prosperity and promised all possible assistance from KMP in his field. He said that under the guidance and inspiration of Hon’ble Prime Minister, professionalism has been enhanced in Bangladesh Police and now the police is working for the people with the spirit of service. Although the challenges of the police have increased due to the change in the type of crime including cyber crime, they are dealing with it with efficiency and competence. Now no one is being saved by committing any kind of crime. He also mentioned that the goal of all of us is to serve the motherland.
Earlier, the Commissioner of Police presented flowers and a crest of honor to the Vice-Chancellor on behalf of KMP. On behalf of Khulna University, the Vice-Chancellor also handed over the monogrammed crest of the university to the Commissioner of Police.
