A mobile court has fined two hunters Rs 30,000 in a pike tree with wild birds

Tripti Ranjan Sen, Paikgachha (Khulna) Correspondent : Two hunters of Paikgachha in Khulna, including wild birds, have been fined by a mobile court and the rescued birds have been released in nature. On Wednesday morning, April 26, 2022, the police arrested Bibhuti Biswas, 48, son of Satya Charan and Sushant Biswas, 32, son of Khokon Biswas of Haria village in Lata union of the upazila along with some wild birds in front of the Upazila Health Complex. Later, Executive Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mamtaz Begum released the rescued birds in nature and fined each of the two hunters Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 each under the Wildlife Conservation Act through a mobile court. Present at the time were SI Nasir Uddin of the police station, CA Krishnapad Mandal of Upazila Parishad and Peshkar Md. Ibrahim.
