Asashuni (Satkhira) Correspondent: The election of Baradal Union Parishad of Asashuni Upazila has ended peacefully.
In this election held on Wednesday 5th January, the ordinary voters have expressed their satisfaction in being able to cast their votes peacefully.
In this highly contested election, Hafiza Khatun got elected with 2146 votes in the reserved women’s seat of wards 1, 2 and 3 of the union.
In wards 4, 5 and 6, Sravanti Bairagi was elected with 3100 votes with the book symbol.
In wards 7, 8 and 9, Rehana Begum won with 2250 votes with mike symbol.
On the other hand, Chandrakant Mandal was elected as the general member in ward no. 1 with 56 votes with the football symbol.
In Ward 2, AKM Rakibuzzaman was elected with 753 votes with the rooster symbol.
In ward 3, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was elected with 793 votes with the football symbol.
In Ward 4, Farooq Hossain was elected with 1563 votes with the symbol of grapefruit.
In the 5th ward, Satya Ranjan Bairagi was elected with 625 votes with the lock symbol.
In the 7th ward, Md. Hasan Mollah was elected with 632 votes with the lock symbol.
In Ward 8, Afzal Hossain Sana was elected with 954 votes with the symbol of Towel.
In Ward 8, GM Abdur Rashid was elected with 8 votes with the football symbol.
In the 9th ward, Debabrata Mandal was elected with 438 votes with the van car symbol.
It may be mentioned that Jagadish Chandra Sana, the office secretary of the Upazila Awami League and the rebel candidate of the Awami League, was elected as the chairman of the Baradal Union by getting 7473 votes with the horse symbol.
