Martyred Intellectuals Day is celebrated in Kuwait with due dignity

Press Release: Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Prof. Dr. Kazi Sajjad Hossain said, “Martyred intellectuals will be immortalized by the people of this country through their deeds, ideals and patriotism. Their ideals and sacrifices will inspire us and our next generation to realize the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Golden Bengal. “If we work for the cause that the intellectuals have worked for, then we will pay our respects to them.” He said this while addressing a discussion meeting on the occasion of Martyred Intellectuals Day on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.

Golam Quader, Registrar (in-charge) Prof. Dr. Kazi Abu Bakr Mohammad Mohiuddin. At this time, Professor Dr. Urban and Regional Planning Department participated in the discussion among the teachers. Md. Mostafa Sarwar, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering. Pintu Chandra Sheel, Professor of Civil Engineering. Md. Ataur Rahman and Professor. Sajal Kumar Adhikari. Kuwait celebrates Martyred Intellectuals Day with due dignity through various programs. As part of the program, the national flag (half-mast) and the black flag were hoisted at the administrative building, the residence of the Vice-Chancellor and in the residential halls as soon as the sun rose on December 14. A mourning rally was held at 10 am with the participation of teachers, officials and employees of the university. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. led the mourning rally. Kazi Sajjad Hossain.

Besides, among other programs, prayers were held at Central Jame Mosque after Asr and light procession was held at 5:45 pm.
