Asashuni (Satkhira) Correspondent : The first dose of COVID-19 vaccination program has been inaugurated for the students of class VII to XI of various educational institutions of Asashuni upazila.
The vaccination program was inaugurated at Asashuni Riverview Keora Park on Sunday morning, January 09, 2022.
On the inaugural day, vaccinations were given to the seventh to tenth class students of Balabaria Amjad Ali Secondary School, HNSKT Haribhanga Secondary School and Kodanda Secondary School. About 17 hundred students of 3 institutions were vaccinated.
Upazila Chairman and Upazila Awami League President ABM Mostakim inaugurated the vaccination program.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nazmul Hussain Khan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shahin Sultana, Officer-in-Charge of the police station Mohammad Golam Kabir, former Freedom Fighter Commander AH Hannan, newly elected UP Chairman of Asashuni Sadar SM Hossainuzzaman Hossain and Upazila Super Education Officer were present.
Vaccination activities are conducted by Dr. Sudeshna Sarkar, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer.
Today, on Monday, January 10, 2022, all the secondary schools and colleges of Budhahata Union at Riverview Keora Park and all the secondary and collegiate schools of Kulaya Union from 8th to 11th class will be vaccinated in the room of Asashuni Upazila Parishad Hall.
