Field day held on vegetable cultivation in floating bed at Keshabpur

Azizur Rahman, Keshabpur (Jessore) Correspondent : Farmers Field Day has been held in Keshabpur on cultivation of vegetables and spices in floating beds.

The field day was organized by the Upazila Agriculture Extension Department in the middle of Sadar Union on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at noon. On Field Day, discussions were held on expanding research on the cultivation of vegetables and spices in floating beds in the Harihar River, which flows past the Middle Ages, and to popularize the project.

Monir Hossain, Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer, spoke as the chief guest on the field day presided over by Abdur Rahim, UP member of Madhyakul village of the upazila and conducted by Anath Bandhu Das, Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer.

Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Nazrul Islam Khan, Joint General Secretary of Keshabpur Press Club Utpal Dey and Executive Member Nurul Islam Khan addressed the function as special guests.

Among the farmers, Rafiqul Islam, Neel Ratan Biswas and Parul Biswas spoke.

Before the field day, the guests visited the vegetable and spice cultivation in the floating bed of Harihar river.
