Sujit Mallick, Dumuria (Khulna) Correspondent : The bi-annual conference of Dumuria Upazila Branch of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad has been completed.
Council leader and industrialist Nirmal Chandra Bairagi presided over the conference held at the premises of the central Kalibari Math temple in the upazila on Saturday morning, January 08, 2022. Former Fisheries and Livestock Minister Narayan Chandra Chand MP addressed the function as the chief guest and District Puja Parishad President Krishnapad Das was the inaugural speaker. Central Adviser Vijay Kumar Ghosh was the guest of honor and District General Secretary Rabindra Nath Dutta was the keynote speaker. Nimai Chandra Roy, senior vice-president of the district, Ratan Kumar Mitra and Ranjit Kumar Ghosh, vice-presidents, Biman Saha, joint-general secretary of the district, Ajit Kumar Haldar, Professor Vishnu Prasad Mallick and Shovnar addressed the function as special guests. Chairman Suranjit Kumar Vaidya, Teacher Ananta Kundu, Shobha Rani Haldar and Ashok Kumar Acharya.
At the conference, industrialist Nirman Chandra Bairagi was elected president and lecturer Govinda Ghosh was elected general secretary.
