Nalta, Kaliganj Correspondent: Nalta Union No. 6 is one of the largest unions in Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira district. The union is large in area as well as densely populated. About 36,000 voters and about 45,000 people live here. That is why many areas and families are deprived of many development or allocations of government per union.
Concerned locals feel that the formation of ‘Kashibati Union’ proposed by the large Nalta Union is urgently needed to take this development of the present government to the marginal stage and make it more useful.
Local dignitaries have demanded “Kashibati Union” for Kajla, Kashibati, Nawapara, Paikara and Sanyasirchak areas. To this end, a preparatory meeting was held on the evening of March 24 at Masud Market at Kashibati.

Sohrab Hossain Sabuj was declared the convener on the proposal and consensus of some persons present at the meeting. And in a very short time it is proposed to form a convening committee with some of the organizational persons or members. The members present expressed hope that the members of the committee would work dedicatedly for the establishment of ‘Kashibati Union’.
Convener Sohrab Hossain sought the sincere cooperation of the conscious community of the village including the dignitaries present for this large and sustainable development work of the green area.
