Azizur Rahman, Keshabpur (Jessore) Correspondent : Police have arrested five gamblers in a gambling hall in Keshabpur.
They were arrested from Bishnupur village of Sagardari union of the upazila on Friday night, January 21, 2022.
According to police and local sources, Tito Hossain, son of Liaquat Moral of Bishnupur village in Keshabpur upazila, was gambling on Thursday night, January 20, 2022. On the basis of such news, Waliul Islam, in-charge of Chingra police camp, along with allied forces, arrested them that night while they were gambling.
The arrested have been identified as Kazi Ripon, 35, son of late AH Rahman of Chingra village, Rashidul Islam, 38, son of late Ifaz Tullah Gazi of Bishnupur village, Zahidur Rahman Mintu, 35, son of AH Hamid Sheikh, Jasim Uddin, 28, son of late Naser Sardar and Liaquat Moral. Son Tito Hossain (22).
Keshabpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Borhan Uddin said five gamblers were arrested while gambling. A case has been filed against them under the Gambling Act.
The arrested accused have been sent to the court on Friday, January 21, 2022.
